Accordingto news from Newsen on March 13, the management company J.Tune of Rainsaid that although he played the main role in Ninja Assassin, his payrate was only $500,000. However, he would be like other Hollywood starsin such way that after the movie was shown all over the world, he wouldreceive his share of profit.
The article also emphasized thatthe pay rate of Rain was only half of other new casts who received upto 1 million dollars for each main character that they played in anymovies.
With his famous in Asia, $500,000 was not a big moneybut Rain himself could lean on the number of audiences that would cometo the theater because of his name, especially in many areas in Asia.
Besides,J. Tune also had announced on March 13 that Nikon's camera had justrenewed 1 year contract with Rain; the net worth of the contract was upto 1 billion and 155 millions won. The new set of advertising will befilmed in Cambodia.
On March 7, Rain took a plane to Berlin toprepare for the filming of Ninja Assassin. When the first Hollywoodmovie Speed Racer is shown in Korea, he will be back for the movie'sadvertising activities.

 wow your news updates are so currents and very consistent.Love it. After i know that Rain going to be the lead of this movie that related to this anime .i straight away brought the dvd of 'ninja scroll' There is so many strange and hi tech character.(which is quite fun n keep wondering how do they choose or make those characters into movie!) And i think Jubei looks alot like Rain 
Ahh ..have to wait another year till this movie come out..sooo longggg.......

Rain's $500,000 compensation does not count as much considering he is acting the leading role in a movie that cost hundreds of millions of dollars to produce. Regarding this, Rain's side said, "As of now we are not considering money income, stages of compensation of the contract and so on. We are just approaching this from an attitude of a newbie as a good form of work. Rain is in the middle of the process of realizing a dream."
Although it is only $500,000 in the beginning, trust that it will be a market of $5,000,000 or $50,000,000 US dollars later. Rain hopes that his own march towards Hollywood will broaden the industry for South Korean actors as well.
Rain went abroad to Berlin on March 7th for the filming of <Ninja Assassin>. He will be there for approximately 3 months, concentrating on the movie shoot.

Ninja Assassin: Matrix-Star Collin Chou im neuen Wachowski-Filmprojekt
Collin Chou, der Seraph aus den Matrix-Flmen, wird sich abermals mit den Wachowskis zusammentun und zwar für deren Filmprojekt Ninja Assassin, das V wie Vendetta-Regisseur James McTeigue in Szene setzen wird.
Chou erzählte SCI FI Wire, dass er eine von vier Hauptrollen spielenwerde. In einer weiteren ist der südkoreanische Popstar Rain zu sehen.
Mit der Produktion wird Ende April/Anfang Mai in Berlin gestartet, Joel Silver produziert den Streifen.

"I have to say that I'm constantlygrateful to Jet Li, and I thank him all the time, but that ispersonal," Chou joked. (Chou co-stars with Li and Jackie Chan in theupcoming fantasy martial-arts film The Forbidden Kingdom.)
Chou said that the Wachowskis' ninja movie starts production inlate April or early May. "And this is a part that is built around me,"he said. "They have wanted to have me in a larger part, and I waswaiting and waiting for a long time for it to happen. I am one of fourof the main characters in this movie. It is a great honor to be onboard."
Korean pop star Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, is alsopart of the project and one of the four main characters. Rain, who isin the upcoming Speed Racer film, was also in last year's Korean film I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK.
Variety earlier reported that the film will be produced by Matrix producer Joel Silver and most likely will be directed by James McTeigue, who also helmed the Wachowski-produced V for Vendetta.

Joel Silver talked to Collider at Showest this week and confirms that the upcoming "Speed Racer" will definitely be a PG-rated movie.
He also says that shooting on "Ninja Assassin" begins in about six weeks. The project is directed by James McTeigue ("V for Vendetta"), it's not based on any existing property and it's a full-on martial arts revenge movie.

"1_ Ritter," a rompthrough the Middle Ages directed by Schweiger, is the Germanactor-director's follow-up to his smash hit "Keinohrhasen."
Productionwill start May 15, with the schedule allowing for 38 days of shootingin Saxony-Anhalt and Bavaria. Apart from Schweiger, the film featureslocal comedians Rick Kavanian and Dieter Hallervorden, actress JuliaDietze and television host Thomas Gottschalk.
The projectreceived 750,000 euros ($1.2 million) in funding from Medienboard andwill be released nationwide by Warner Bros. Germany, with salesorganization EEAP handling Eastern European territories.
In this funding round, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg subsidized 26 projects with a total of 4.9 million euros ($ 7.7 million).
