23 Jun 2010 - Rain declares he'll say no more before 'Lee Joon' because of Lee's continued disclosure of Rain's personal statement
Rain Lee Joon
'Lee Joon', one memeber of 5 male group MBLAQ produced by Rain, appeared on SBS TV's show program 'Challenging 1000 Songs' to be aired on the 27th and said, "Rain declared he'll say no more before me because of my continued disclosure of his personal statement."
"Once, when I showed up while he was talking with the rest of our members except me, he said to me, revealing his cute discomfort with me, 'Do you intend to make a disclosure of what I'm saying now on TV? I won't talk to you anymore' "
"Also, he wrote good words with his autograph on his album for the rest of our members, but he was avenged on me, writing a short word to me, 'Read good books!' "
It is said when 'Lee Joon' added, "Hyung! (Rain), I'm considering that treatment unfair.", the audience roared with laughter at the scene.
Meanwhile, 'Challenging 1000 Songs' will be aired on the 27th at 8:10 am.
23 Jun 2010 - Rain, Cute Grudge? 'I'm not talking'
5 member group MBLAQ's Lee Joon declared that his agent and boss, Rain, will no longer talk in front him.
On the 27th of the upcoming scheduled broadcast SBS 'Challenge 1000 Songs', he delivered the message, "President Rain told me that he will no longer talk in front of me."
In each of his broadcasts, Lee Joon unstoppably revealed Rain's humane image and it became the topic of conversation.
While Rain shared a private secret, he said, "You're going to say this on air, aren't you? I'm not talking," and he revealed that he will show a cute grudge.
Although Lee Joon got Rain to sign his [Joon's] album and to write a comment to each member, Rain wrote "Joon, read a book" to Lee Joon and had a timid revenge.
In the meantime, on the day of this broadcast, it is expected that a song challenge will unfold, including MBLAQ, No Sayun, Won Miyun, Jo Hyeryun, Secert, etc.

1 Jun 2010 - What is the variety skill that CEO Rain passed down to Lee Joon
Singer Rain's words to his student MBLAQ's Lee Joon to "read more" has become a point of interest.
On SBS E! TV's 'E! News Korea- Star Q10' on the 30th, the Summer Special 'Variety-dol' will be shown. A story that happened between the male idol group MBLAQ and their company president Rain unfolded.
Singer Rain told MBLAQ, who has recently been dominating television with their fantastic speaking, to "read a lot!". To Lee Joon, who has been rising as a variety-dol in various cable and entertainment programs, he said, "You do variety well, but that's just it. Just well", giving him advice stemming from affection.
Lee Joon said, "I want to work harder so that I can make people laugh while being smart", showing his true attachment for variety. After being asked to choose the best variety-dol thus far, Lee Joon picked 2AM's JoKwon, stating, "I want to become KkapKwon's student 'KkapJoon'."

2 Jul 2010 - MBLAQ "Please be considerate of our personal lives at our dorm"
Five-member male group MBLAQ has found success in promoting their second mini album title track 'Y' with their masculine charm. Lee Joon went shirtless to show off his abs, and cute-faced Thunder transformed into a strong image. They even showed a bit of relaxation, saying, "We're not that nervous in front of the camera anymore", and "When we hear compliments that our skills have grown since last year, it makes us happy". MBLAQ, who debuted about a year ago, is currently enjoying success with their song at the top of the charts on various music charts.
>2 cell phones each
MBLAQ, who are electronic manias, each have two cell phones. In some ways, they are living in a different world from some idols, who have their cell phones taken away by their companies so that they can focus on practicing.
"I carry around a Blackberry and an iPhone, but I'm waiting for the iPhone 4G. I went to a store in KangNam recently, and the employee there asked me for a signature and told me to come when they get new products." (SeungHo)
On the day of the interview, it was 'CEO' Rain (Jung JiHoon)'s birthday, so I got to witness the five of them sitting together sending congratulatory text messages to him.
"JiHoon hyung sends us replies sometimes. We're each so busy that it's hard to meet, so we usually talk by text." (G.O)
About Rain, they said, "When we practice, he's a scary hyung who is like a tiger, but at other times he's like a real brother". They laughed, stating, "Only Lee Joon got warned by JiHoon hyung to watch what he says".
"For the fun of variety, Lee Joon told some exaggerated stories of Rain, and he was warned about it. He was told to not tell any stories that would create a stir." (SeungHo)
>Please don't come to our dorm
"We would like it if our fans respected our personal lives inside the dorms..", they expressed toward their fan girls.
"We live on the first floor of a KangNamGu ShinSaDong villa, and there are even fans who come through the back yard. I want to at least rest in the dorm, but there are times when I can't even do that." (Thunder)
They said that there was even a fan who fell while jumping the fence and asked the members for medicine with bleeding knees. They stated, "We understand your feelings of liking us, but we would like it if you would please respect our personal lives".
The members also had a lot to say about their dorm. "I think that a cockroach recently laid some eggs. There are cockroaches with still-undeveloped wings flying around in domination." (G.O)
But they finally got the chance to be good to their parents after debuting last October, after eight months of activities.
"I didn't have any income, but with the money I gathered from this album's activities, I provided college tuition for my dongseng. I felt satisfied." (SeungHo)
"I didn't come from a wealthy home, but I never had to get a job because my parents always provided me with pocket money. When I gave my father the money I made, he was really happy." (G.O)
MBLAQ, who will continue their album promotion with a new song through July, had a lot of laughter during the interview but got a sparkle in their eyes when talking about their ambitions.
"We're going to do the best we can so that we can receive all the Best New Artist awards at the end of the year. Our goal is always first place."
5 Jul 2010 - [Interview] MBLAQ, "We've gotten rid of half of the 'Rain' label, right?"
"We want to get rid of our label as the idol group that Rain raised."
MBLAQ, who has gained popularity with the release of their new album, confidently stated, "We want to be accepted for our skills rather than being known only because of Rain".
The label 'the idols that Rain raised' has been tagged onto them even before debut. Thanks to this, it was easy to get their faces out to the masses, but it came with a large burden. They did not get to show their abilities 100% during their promotions for their first album.
"At first, the burden to do well weighed really heavily. As the burden got bigger, we felt that we didn't get to show off all the talent that we have. So we tried to throw away those burdens as much as possible and worked hard to show everyone our development as new idols. Our hard work must have paid off, because we hear from people around us that we're doing well, and that we now seem relaxed on stage. We don't mind being called 'the idols that Rain raised', but we would like 'the MBLAQ that works hard' better."
MBLAQ released their second single album title track 'Y' in the middle of May, and after only two weeks of comeback, won first place on Mnet's 'M! Countdown', succeeding in getting rid of about half of their label as Rain's idols.
"All of us were really surprised by the unexpected first place win. Thoughts of how hard we prepared for this album came up, but our CEO Rain's face came to mind especially. After the broadcast, we spoke to Rain hyung, and he told us we did a good job, saying that this was just the beginning and that we should work harder. And he said that because we were now 'first place singers', we should all grab a drink. It felt a bit strange hearing that. We did get first place, but we're still lacking a lot to be called 'first place singers'."
Debuting with 'Oh Yeah' in October of last year, MBLAQ has been running forward without much rest. They weren't seen on music programs for a while, but they made themselves known on various variety programs on both cable and terrestrial channels. Recently, they have also shown us that they are 'entertainment-dols', appearing on variety shows with Rain.
"All five members are fun on a regular basis. In fact, on television, we tend to level it down. (laugh) We're all really close and live together in a dorm, so there's a lot of funny stories between us and it helps us increase our sense for variety. When we're filming for television, a lot of sunbaes treat us well to get us noticed. We think that's why we've been getting more attention lately."
MBLAQ has many young fans as idol singers, but they also have their fair share of older (nuna) fans. It's not just civilians?even celebrity nunas don't hide their love for MBLAQ when they meet them on television.
"Our fans are of diverse ages. Online, we have a lot of younger fans, and on music programs, the nunas come to cheer us on quietly. We're idols, but none of us are underage, so we don't fear ruining our image and being honest, and we think that's why our nuna fans love us so much. (laugh) We want to show charisma on stage and a friendly, next-door-neighbor image off stage."
Although they have already grabbed first place with just their second album, MBLAQ still has a lot to show us. They are preparing for their first full-length album and considering entering overseas activities as well.
"We need to show a different image than our idol groups. We're working hard so that, as musicians, our own creations can be a part of our next album."

4 Jul 2010 - MBLAQ doesn't want to be known as Rain's Idols
MBLAQ, who has up ’til now been carrying the label of “Rain’s group,” has revealed through an interview that they wish to “get rid of [their] label as the idol group that Rain raised.”
Even before their debut, the boys were tagged with this name, and while it was easy for them to become popular because of such a nickname, the group found it difficult to show off their own talents during the promotions for their first album without being compared to Rain himself. The boys elaborated on their feelings: “At first, the burden to do well weighed [because we were trained by Rain] really heavily [upon our backs, and] as the burden got bigger, we felt that we didn’t get to show off all the talent that we have. So we tried to throw away those burdens as much as possible and worked hard to show everyone our development as new idols [instead.] Our hard work must have paid off, because we hear from people around us that we’re doing well and [seem more] relaxed on stage.” They were then able to explain that they “don’t mind being called ‘the idols that Rain raised,’ but […] would [prefer] ‘the MBLAQ that works hard.’”
MBLAQ was able to shed half of their ‘Rain’s idols’ label through winning first place on Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’ with title track ‘Y,’ but still expressed wishes to improve even more and rid themselves completely of such a title. “All of us were really surprised by the unexpected first place win; [although] thoughts of how hard we prepared for this album came up, […] our CEO Rain’s face came to mind [more often.] After the broadcast, we spoke to Rain hyung, and he told us we did a good job, saying that this was just the beginning and that we should work harder. And he said that because we were now ‘first place singers,’ we should all grab a drink [to celebrate.]” Celebrating the obtaining of such a prestigious title evidently did not come easily to the boys, as they felt that although they “did get first place, […] [they’re] still lacking a lot to be [able to] be called ‘first place singers.’”
The talented idols then remembered that they would be nowhere without their fans, and acknowledged that their fans consisted not only of younger people, but of older noona (including celebrities) fans as well. “Our fans are of diverse ages,” MBLAQ explained. “Online, we have a lot of younger fans, and on music programs, the noonas come to cheer us on quietly. We’re idols, but none of us are underage, so we don’t fear ruining our image [or] being honest, and we think that’s why our noona fans love us so much. We want to show charisma onstage and a friendly, next-door neighbor image offstage.”
The conversation soon drifted to the boys’ appearances on variety shows, during which it was mentioned that they have recently become referred to as “entertainment-dols” while making audiences laugh in the presence of manager Rain. MBLAQ insisted that they were simply naturally funny people, saying, “all five members are fun on a regular basis; in fact, on television, we tend to level it down. We’re all really close and live together in a dorm, so there’s a lot of funny stories between us and it helps us increase our sense for variety. When we’re filming for television, a lot of sunbaes treat us well to get us noticed – [that’s probably] why we’ve been getting more attention lately.”
The boys summed up their thoughts by expressing their hopes to “show a different image than [other] idol groups.” They also aspired to work hard “so that, as musicians, […] our next album [can be created partly by ourselves.]
Schau dir bitte Happy Together an.

13 Aug 2010 - MBLAQ at Hallyu Wave Magazine (Rain mentioned)
MBLAQ are a five member group who debuted in October of last year. The dance group managed by Rain received attention from the beginning, and have come to Japan to perform as the opening act for “Rain Love Tour 2010″ at Saitama Super Arena. We talked to them in their dressing room.
MBLAQ debuted in October 2009 under Rain’s production. Even among boy groups they stand out as being blessed with having good looks and figures, and have received the nickname “chic-dol.” They released their second single “Y” in May of this year. The main track “Y” is a dance song with the theme of “the love of a man who has been betrayed by love,” and it’s said that it was originally going to be released by Rain himself.
Q: What was your impression after hearing “Y” for the first time?
G.O: Our previous song “Oh Yeah” was one that let out a fun mood in all aspects. This time’s “Y” is based on one image, but the expressions and message are different based on each part. I thought that was interesting. When I first listened to it, I thought that it would be fun to do a musical-like performance, and Rain gave us choreography like that, so I was able to practice happily.
Q: The singing parts for this song are minutely distributed. Was it Rain who decided who would sing each part? Seungho: Yes, he did. From the start, our parts were divided up within the group. When I heard the song I predicted that “this might be my part,” but I have no discomfort with how Rain decided our parts.
Q: Compared to your debut song, you can feel that Mir’s dancing has improved. Did you do any special training?
(The other members jeer)
Mir: (Embarrassed laugh) During the promotions for this song, we each had our own activities so I didn’t do any special practicing, but I tried my hardest.
Q: Joon’s sensual choreography at the start of the song leaves a strong impression. What kind of guidance were you given?
Joon: That choreography as also done by Rain. First he showed me by example, and told me to do it like that, but I couldn’t easily do it. He gave me the advice that, “Men have to be able to show their sexiness without taking their clothes off,” and with my cell phone I filmed him dancing, and practiced many times while watching it.
Q: In the previous song Cheondung rapped, but this time you’re singing.
Cheondung: At first I was in charge of rapping, but I went to Rain and said, “Rapping is good too, but from now on I’d like to sing.” As a result of that, I’ve been able to sing this time.
After finishing the opening act at Saitama Super Arena, MBLAQ watched Rain’s performance. Leader Seungho says, “From the moment he stood on stage, I thought that his aura was completely different from ours. I felt that he’s someone in the clouds, still far from us.”
