What was mentioned by JYP, the producer who single-handedly trained Rain as a singer, has aroused anger among Rain's fans.
On the afternoon of the 24th, JYP accepted an interview with a male magazine (Deb's Note: apparently it's GQ in Korea) and indicated this, "The sales from the Wonder Girls' music album and sound source (sound source? not sure what this means) account for more than half of the income, but Rain's music album and sound source only account for one third. WG's advertising value is quite low, so therefore the income derived from the music albums are very important. Although Rain's advertising value is very high, he does not have a popular song."
Rain's fans have one word to summarize this kind of claim from JYP, that is "absurd".
Because the majority of Rain's songs were produced by JYP himself, Rain's fans condemned him that by saying "he does not have a popular song" basically means he is spitting on his own face.
In the mean time, the fans mentioned that the 25th is Rain's birthday, but they bitterly said this, "What a birthday gift this is! (Rain) might not be in a good mood on his birthday, but hope that he will complete his film shoot smoothly in Berlin and return home safely."
Rain is presently filming the movie <Ninja Assassin> in Berlin, Germany. Upon the completion of his film shoot, he will head to Japan on June 30th for a fan meeting at the JCB Hall.

This was the general impression after reading excerpts from Park Jin Young’s interview in the recent issue of GQ Magazine in Korea.
Park Jin Young mentioned in his interview
"1/3 of Wonder Girls albums and digital music income is already half of Rain’s albums and digital music income. Wonder Girls has low promotion costs but its album and digital music profits are relatively high. Rain has high promotion costs but he doesn’t have a hit song and is just relying on high profits from commercial endorsements."
And needless to say, his comments has ruffled the feathers of Rain’s fans, “What a terrible birthday gift”, where Rain was celebrating his 27th birthday yesterday. For Rain’s fans, it was “disappointing” to read such a statement from Park Jin Young, who handled Rain’s career while he was still in JYP Entertainment. Fans also added that for Park Jin Young to say that Rain has “no hit song” was a slap on his face because Park did most of Rain’s songs.
This has lead to speculation that their relations are indeed on “rocky waters” although a statement from JYP Entertainment denied the allegations.
"Wonder Girls concept was geared towards all age groups with their hit songs like “Tell Me”. But for Rain, he was trying to set a trend which only appealed to specific age groups and so it didn’t have the “popular songs” phenomemon like what Park Jin Young said."
Generally, music sales volume for Rain is on the low-scale since he has other areas like CFs, movies to fall upon while for the Wonder Girls, they generally bring in the money through their album sales.
There you have it, both sides of the story.

According to Liberty Times, the first part of the news is about the talk that JYP had about Rain when he interviewed by a men's magazine recently. JYP said Rain did not have a song that represent himself (JYP is comparing Rain with Wonder Girls). He also mentioned that when he was writing music for Rain he didn't think of earning money, he only wished to bring out the good look and graceful manner of the entertainer and present it to everybody.
After his words was published through the media, many supporters of Rain got angry at JYP. They indicated that even JYP and Rain are not in the same company JYP shouldn't criticize Rain. Supporters of JYP also argued back. (There were many news about this recent argument)
According to Oriental Daily News, a representative from JYPE clarified about JYP's words and indicated that he didn't mean to criticize. Representative from Rain's company also indicated JYP and Rain's relationship did not change, instead they worried this news will bring out misunderstanding.
Yesterday was Rain's 27th Birthday but he spent his birthday shooting the movie "Ninja Assassin" overnight. He was very busy shooting this movie and didn't have time to have the Korean traditional seaweed soup on his Birthday. He also didn't aware of the recent news regarding to what JYP said on his interview.

Ich frage mich ehrlich, wie viel davon wahr ist. Ich hoffe nur, dass Rain davon nicht zu sehr betroffen sein wird. Der Arme hat genug um die Ohren...
